The Taiwanese telecom operator Far Eastone signed a deal with Vodafone to provide low-cost global roaming services, according to Far Eastone's press release on May 2. As a member of the Conexus Mobile Alliance in Asia, Far Eastone currently has access to around 350 million users. The Vodafone partnership is expected to extend Far Eastone's global roaming coverage to Europe, Middle East, Africa, and Oceania, doubling its user number to over 700 million. It is anticipated that Far Eastone will be able to join Vodafone's supply chain system in the future, giving it access to a broader range of Smartphones and tablets at more favorable prices.
